About Us

| I would consider myself a mainstream mama. I never thought twice about using disposable diapers with my son, even though he had diaper rash problems most of the time. I really didn't think there was any other option other than slather him with diaper creams. While I was pregnant with my daughter, I was watching an Oprah Winfrey show about global warming. Here is just one of the statements made that hit home with me:

|
| "Americans throw away 49 million diapers every single day. But what happens after the garbage truck takes them away? The diapers end up in landfills and could take 500 years to decompose. Styrofoam takes 2,000 years to decompose. And plastic bottles—such as all of those water and soda bottles—will never decompose."

| After seeing that show, I did a little research and learned that the United States uses approximately 90% of disposable diapers and the diapers are the third largest contributor to landfill waste! And I had no idea that you aren't supposed to throw solid diaper waste into the garbage! It states it right on the bag of disposable diapers! I never even read it! I also learned that there may be a link to asthma (from which my son suffers) and reproductive problems from using disposable diapers. With all of this information, I decided that it was definitely time for a change. I am hoping that I can help to change my little corner of the world one cloth diaper at a time. I look forward to doing business with you! Feel free to e-mail me with questions. I have tried tons of different types of cloth diapers. What I am selling, is what worked best for me. By the way, my daughter was four months old when the below picture was taken. She is STILL wearing the same diaper pictured (and almost potty trained) at 26 months! Talk about saving money! Happy Heiny Diapers are great! Thanks, Ann
